With a systemic approach that considers the "big picture" and overall context of each client's challenges, Scott Cundiff, LMFT, CSOTP, brings creativity, connection, humor, playfulness, and compassion to his therapeutic practice. As a counselor at ABT Counseling, Scott works with individuals, children, adolescents, and families to overcome a wide range of life challenges.
Scott's educational background includes two graduate degrees: a M.S. in Human Services and a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. This robust educational foundation, combined with his licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider, equips him with a diverse skill set to address complex issues.
In his practice, Scott tailors his strategies to each client's unique circumstances, believing that what is most human is mentionable and what is mentionable is manageable. He particularly excels in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and various forms of trauma. His systemic approach allows him to consider the broader context in which problems occur, leading to more comprehensive and effective treatment plans.
Scott's expertise spans a wide range of issues, including but not limited to abuse, ADD/ADHD, addiction, adoption, anger management, autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, codependency, domestic violence, family issues, gender identity, life transitions, marital problems, mood disorders, parenting issues, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, sexuality, spirituality, stress, trauma, and PTSD.
