Yogya Kalra
Yogya Kalra is a strategy and AI expert whose work spans R&D consulting, systems design, and nonprofit leadership. Pursuing a dual degree in Biology and Business at Western University, he brings an analytical and interdisciplinary approach to organizational problem solving.
Kalra also serves as the first Canadian member of the ChatGPT Lab, where he collaborates with OpenAI’s product and community teams to advance how students integrate artificial intelligence into their academic and professional lives.
His experience centers on technical communication and process optimization in both corporate and nonprofit settings. At Deloitte, he contributed to multimillion-dollar R&D tax credit claims, helping clients in biotechnology, energy, and manufacturing translate complex innovations into clear, audit-ready documentation.
Earlier in his career, he served as executive director of a 500-member public health nonprofit, leading cross-functional teams, expanding research operations, and launching initiatives that reached tens of thousands of students. Across these experiences, Kalra has developed a disciplined approach to systems thinking, stakeholder alignment, and strategic execution that informs his work at the intersection of science, strategy, and innovation.
