About

Embracing life's transitions and empowering individuals to become the heroes of their own stories, Rachel Scott, M.S., brings a diverse and adaptable approach to her mental health counseling practice. With a foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, client-centered therapy, existential therapy, and narrative therapy, Rachel crafts a unique therapeutic experience tailored to each client's needs and aspirations.

Rachel's journey in mental health began with her Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 1997, followed by a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of North Florida in 2015. This educational background, combined with her extensive experience, has equipped her to work effectively with a wide range of clients and challenges.

Throughout her career, Rachel has honed her skills in supporting young children, adolescents, and adults grappling with various mental health concerns. Her expertise spans anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, adjustment disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, bipolar disorder, and various personality disorders. This broad spectrum of experience allows her to adapt her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with.

Rachel particularly excels in guiding clients through life transitions, whether they involve career changes, retirement, new relationships, breakups, parenting challenges, or becoming empty nesters. Her passion lies in helping individuals reimagine themselves and evolve into the person they've always aspired to be. Rachel's strengths in relating, restoring, empathizing, and nurturing create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their challenges and potential.

When not in her professional role, Rachel channels her creativity into transforming old furniture pieces or discarded materials into personalized, beautiful works of art. This hobby reflects her ability to see potential for growth and beauty in all aspects of life, a perspective she brings to her therapeutic practice as well.

Rachel approaches each therapeutic relationship with gratitude, recognizing the courage it takes for clients to share their stories. Her ultimate goal is to guide each individual to feel like the hero of their own narrative, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-discovery throughout the therapeutic journey.
