David Townes

David Townes is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Catalyst Mental Health in the Twin Cities region. Townes has played a pivotal role in transforming mental health care delivery, guiding the organization to serve thousands across multiple locations.

Townes began his journey in November 2011 with a private practice in Uptown, Minneapolis. His background as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker provided the foundation for his clinical understanding, while his MBA equipped him with the business acumen necessary to expand Catalyst Mental Health into a large-scale organization.

Though Townes no longer engages directly in clinical work, he remains an influential force within Catalyst. He offers mentorship to providers, sharing his clinical expertise and focusing on the strategic growth of the organization. His leadership ensures Catalyst continues to meet the evolving mental health needs of the community.
