Jennifer Thoennissen

Jennifer Thoennissen, PTA, is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Total Therapy Florida. A Florida native who grew up in Venice, she found her niche in outpatient therapy after graduating from State College of Florida in Bradenton with her PTA degree in 2012.

She has an interest in the complex nature of shoulder and hip joints and treats a range of injuries, impairments, and diagnoses. Jennifer is studying with the Postural Restoration Institute to expand her evidence-based practice.

Known for her enthusiasm for tracking patient progress, she uses early benchmarks to celebrate gains by discharge. Her active lifestyle informs her practical understanding of movement and body mechanics.
