After graduating from Regis University with her Doctor of Pharmacy, Leila completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Mark's Hospital (HCA) in Salt Lake City, UT, where she continued to practice for several years. There, she became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) trained in all areas of inpatient pharmacy, including inpatient psychiatry. Leila's current areas of expertise include cardiology, pulmonology, special populations, and academia.
Leila has since moved back to Denver, CO, where she continues her career as a clinical pharmacist and is the owner/operator of Write Now Apothecary, LLC. Her writing and editing focus on making medical information accessible to the general population. In addition, consulting work focuses on process improvement.
