Candice Unger

Candice Unger, B.S.N., M.S., is a Psychiatric Nurse and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She earned a BSN Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo and a master's degree in counseling from Niagara University, and also holds a degree in Information Systems Management from SUNY College Buffalo.

She served on the faculties of the schools of nursing at the University at Buffalo and Niagara University and was Head Nurse Manager of the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and of the Partial Hospitalization/Psycho-social Rehabilitation units at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center. She later co-founded Buffalo Psychology Group, bringing clinical leadership across levels of psychiatric care.

As a Psychiatric Nurse and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she integrates medical knowledge and counseling skills to address both the physical and mental aspects of clients' well-being. Her interest in fitness training and hiking and following her children’s careers inform a practical, person-centered perspective on family dynamics and wellness.
