Candice Unger

Candice Unger is a licensed Registered Nurse and licensed mental health counselor with Buffalo Psychology Group. Unger works with clients to address both physical and mental aspects of well-being, offering a holistic approach to mental health care.

Unger began her career in mental health with a foundation in nursing, earning a BSN degree Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo. She obtained a Master's degree in counseling from Niagara University. Her experience includes teaching at the University at Buffalo and Niagara University, and serving as Head Nurse Manager at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Using a blend of medical knowledge and psychological expertise, Unger applies a comprehensive approach to psychiatric care. Clients can expect a structured environment that integrates fitness and life transitions into therapy. Her practice is informed by her personal interest in fitness training and hiking, enhancing her understanding of mind body connections.
