Mrs. Unger's diverse educational background also includes a degree in Information Systems Management from SUNY College Buffalo, adding a multifaceted perspective to her practice.
Mrs. Unger's extensive experience spans both clinical practice and education. She has served on the faculties of the schools of nursing at the University at Buffalo and Niagara University, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Prior to co-founding Buffalo Psychology Group, Mrs. Unger held the position of Head Nurse Manager of the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and of the Partial Hospitalization/Psycho-social Rehabilitation units at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center. This role provided her with invaluable experience in managing complex psychiatric cases and overseeing comprehensive mental health programs.
As a licensed Registered Nurse and licensed mental health counselor in New York, Mrs. Unger brings a unique combination of medical knowledge and psychological expertise to her practice. This dual perspective allows her to address both the physical and mental aspects of her clients' well-being, providing a holistic approach to mental health care.
