Christy Carter

Christy Carter, MS, LCMHCA, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who practices from existential and DBT frameworks. Trained in Brainspotting, she works with clients on trauma, eating disorders, body image, and life transitions using a weight-inclusive, Fat Positive, and Intuitive Eating approach.

She holds a Master's of Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), and her work is informed by lived experience as a bicultural, bisexual daughter of an immigrant.

A Queer-Affirming clinician committed to social justice, Christy emphasizes meaning-making, radical acceptance, and building awareness, purpose, and direction. She seeks to walk alongside clients toward greater stability and self-acceptance.
