Claudia Brown

Claudia Brown, MEd, MSW, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly three decades of experience in the Tidewater area. She works with individuals, couples, and groups and specializes in depression, anxiety, addiction disorders, trauma, life transitions, grief work, and couple and marital conflicts.

Her therapeutic focus centers on the dynamics of relationships and focuses on how childhood experiences shape adult lives and healing past wounds. At the Center for Effective Change she provides individual, marital, and group psychotherapy, drawing on a 28-year practice to help clients develop healthy relationship skills and effective communication.

She emphasizes empowering clients to embrace their full potential in the present within a supportive therapeutic environment aimed at long-term emotional well-being.
