Darren Strother

Darren Strother, PhD, MP, is a Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Medical Psychologist who has practiced in Lafayette, LA since 2006. He holds a Master’s in experimental psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi, and a Master’s in clinical psychopharmacology.

His training includes a one-year internship and a two-year fellowship in neuropsychology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital. Licensed through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as a Medical Psychologist, he assesses ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy and seizure disorders, Tourette’s and movement disorders, developmental delay, dementia, and chronic pain.

He maintains active research in brain plasticity, prenatal drug exposure and attention and developed a patent-pending device for medication management of ADHD. He integrates neuropsychological assessment with psychopharmacology expertise to inform evaluations and treatment planning.
