Desiree Hernandez

Desiree Hernandez, LCSW, brings over 15 years of experience and respects the cultural uniqueness of every individual. She specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and behavioral and relational challenges, and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Seeking Safety, and play therapy.

Her experience spans school-based and community outpatient settings, working with young children (including those aged 0-5 with their caregivers), teens, young adults, and adults. She earned her MSW from Azusa Pacific University and a BA in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton.

Desiree employs an eclectic, client-centered, evidence-based approach within a safe, non-judgmental space and emphasizes a strong therapeutic relationship to help clients build insight and achieve goals.
