About
Emily Moran, PhD, LCSWA, specializes in giftedness and neurodiversity, including ADHD, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and underachievement. She uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to tailor treatment to each client’s needs.
She works with individuals, families, and couples and brings a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to her clinical work. Her practice is informed by 15 years in education and serving as an Assistant Professor, which shapes her developmental and educational perspective.
Dr. Moran’s practice is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and faith-affirming, and she often supports clients who feel "stuck" in their lives. She emphasizes boundary-setting and practical skills aimed at helping clients translate strengths into clearer functioning.
