James Doxey

James Doxey, MS LCMHCS LCAS MAC, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist at Wilmington Psychotherapy. He specializes in addiction, substance abuse, grief and loss, and other life struggles, helping clients through challenging circumstances.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from East Carolina University and a master's degree in substance abuse & clinical counseling and rehabilitation counseling. He is trained in individual and couples therapy, body-centered psychotherapy, redecision therapy, and rational emotive behavioral therapy.

A long-time resident of the Wilmington area, Doxey brings respect and empathy to his work. He seeks to help individuals expand their conscious awareness and empower them to pursue their hopes and dreams.
