Joy Norwood

Joy Norwood, MS, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief, school-related issues, and personal growth.

She holds a Master of Science in Counselor Education, concentrating in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling, and spent four years as a Professional School Counselor in the Lafayette Parish School System. She works with children (ages 8 and up), adolescents, and adults and is a member of the Tree of Life Counseling team.

Joy uses a client-centered, collaborative approach, creating a safe, non-judgmental space and tailoring interventions to each client’s needs. She emphasizes empowering clients as experts in their own lives to support insight, coping strategies, and personal growth.
