Marie Alvarez

Marie Alvarez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who creates a nurturing environment where clients explore their strengths and process feelings. Alvarez works with adults of all ages, focusing on childhood and attachment trauma, anxiety, and grief, while supporting new mothers.

Alvarez completed EMDR basic training at the EMDR Institute in 2019 and is pursuing full certification. Her therapeutic expertise includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, which she employs to address traumatic memories and related symptoms, such as depression and phobias.

Using a person centered approach, Alvarez offers EMDR and talk therapy to guide clients through life transitions and interpersonal challenges. Clients can expect a non judgmental space, psychoeducation, and collaborative treatment plans. Her practice clients to develop healthier coping skills and gain new perspectives.
