Matt's journey in helping others began with his work as a children's pastor, evolving through roles as a youth director and senior pastor, always maintaining a strong focus on counseling. His academic pursuits reflect his commitment to understanding human behavior and spirituality, earning a Bachelor of Science from Hyles-Anderson College, followed by a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Great Plains Baptist University.
In addition to his coaching practice, Matt serves as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, where he fulfills the role of Chaplain. This position allows him to specialize in relational skills training, crisis intervention counseling, and suicide prevention for military personnel. This unique combination of civilian and military experience enriches Matt's approach to mental health coaching, providing him with insights into the diverse challenges men face in various life contexts.

Born and raised in Salem, Ohio, Matt has come full circle, now residing in the Canton, Ohio area. When not coaching or serving in the military, he enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, and nurturing his musical talents by playing the piano and guitar. This well-rounded lifestyle informs his coaching approach, emphasizing the importance of work-life balance and personal fulfillment.
