Megan Avery

Megan Avery, Ph.D., is a clinical and forensic psychologist with a doctorate from the University of Memphis. She maintains a private practice, is licensed in Tennessee, and serves as a PSYPACT provider, enabling her to offer services across most states.

Her clinical work focuses on adult mental health, including treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, women's issues, substance misuse, stress management, and concerns related to sexual functioning. She provides culturally sensitive, LGBTQI friendly care.

In forensic settings Dr. Avery draws on an internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and conducts civil evaluations for personal injury, malpractice, workplace harassment, and psychological injuries related to trauma, as well as criminal assessments such as competency to stand trial, mental state at the time of offense, and sentencing. She also provides fitness for duty evaluations and impairment ratings and is willing to travel for evaluations.
