Renee Hernandez

Renee Hernandez, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S, NCC, TBRI Educator, is Senior Director of Strategy and Innovation and Executive Director of Programs and Services at STARRY. She holds a PhD from Walden University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (#73875) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (#202586).

For over nine years she has implemented trauma-informed care across STARRY and the community and trains in Trust-Based Relational Intervention; she has trained over 2,500 community members in the TBRI® Principles.

She began as a counselor and progressed to Training Coordinator and Director of Program Training, now steering program strategy. Her work focuses on evidence-based, trauma-informed practices that build healing relationships and support system-level change.
