With a passion for helping couples stay together, Staci Lee Schnell, M.S., C.S., LMFT, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. At the Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida, Staci employs a diverse range of therapeutic approaches to address the complex needs of her clients.
Staci's professional journey is marked by a commitment to continuous learning and growth. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Florida State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Family Therapy along with a Clinical Specialist Degree in Family Systems Health Care from Nova Southeastern University. This robust educational background equips her with a comprehensive understanding of individual and family dynamics.
As a therapist, Staci has cultivated extensive experience working with adolescents and adults, providing individual, couples, and family counseling. Her areas of specialization include ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Couples Therapy, Postpartum Counseling, and Medical Family Therapy. Staci's approach is rooted in Family Systems Theories, and she skillfully employs a variety of therapeutic methods including Brief Systemic Therapy (MRI), The Gottman Method, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This diverse toolkit allows her to tailor her approach to best fit each client's unique needs.
Staci's expertise extends beyond her clinical work. She is a Florida State Qualified Supervisor for Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Interns and Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns, contributing to the development of the next generation of therapists. Her professional affiliations include being a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Immediate Past President of the Broward Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the current Co-Coordinator of the South Broward/North Dade Chapter of CHADD. She is also an honored member of Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society.
