Takiyah Small

Takiyah G. Small is the Owner and Clinical Director of Small Behavioral Health Counseling. Small works with people facing significant mental health challenges, including suicidal ideation, major depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and family conflicts. Her practice also extends to high-risk youth and adolescents.

Small's academic journey began with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University in 2017, following a Masters in Business Administration from the same institution in 2011. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University, underscoring her commitment to advancing her expertise.

In her practice, Small employs Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Clients can expect a comprehensive approach that addresses the whole person. Her versatile methods are tailored to meet each client's needs, fostering a balanced path to mental wellness.
