Jacobsen's educational journey began at Biola University with a B.A. in Humanities and Philosophy. She furthered her studies with a Master's in Counseling from Palo Alto University. Licensed in Alabama and California, she has worked in public schools and community mental health, gaining extensive experience with diverse populations.

Jacobsen's therapeutic style is evidence based and tailored to individual needs. She utilizes trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy, somatic mindfulness, and play therapy. Clients can expect a culturally sensitive environment that supports their well-being.
