Jeffrey Weist

Jeffrey Weist, LICSW, RPT-S, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker since 2001 and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. He works with children, adolescents, and families.

He specializes in family problems, school and social issues, mood and behavior issues, parenting skills, trauma, and supporting victims of abuse. He uses cognitive/behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and play therapy.

Weist blends traditional techniques with innovative methods, incorporating geek culture and collaborative storytelling games, and he initiated a social/anxiety skills group for middle and high school-aged children and young adults. He sees his role as a facilitator, helping clients identify their goals and access their internal strengths.
