Dr. Susan Nichols is the Interim Executive Director of the University of North Texas Kristin Farmer Autism Center. Nichols works with people on the autism spectrum, focusing on education and research to improve outcomes for these populations.

Nichols began her career as a special education teacher in public schools, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges faced by students with autism. She pursued advanced studies, earning a Ph.D. and becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral. Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of North Texas, where she educates future special education professionals.

At the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center, Nichols leads a team providing diagnostic evaluations, behavioral interventions, and educational support. Her approach integrates evidence based practices with compassionate care. Clients can expect innovative strategies that bridge academic research with practical application.
