Jesse Hanson, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director and Co-Founder of MentalHealth.com and the author of This Is the Work: Presence, Embodiment, and Awakening. A clinical psychologist specializing in somatic psychology and neuropsychology, he holds a Ph.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a master’s degree from the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute.
With more than 20 years of clinical experience and extensive training with holistic teachers, Hanson integrates mind-body approaches to support natural healing and personal growth. His work emphasizes presence, embodiment, and honest engagement with lived experience.
He currently serves as Chief Clinical Officer at Atman Retreats and Clinical Advisor at HOLOS. His previous roles include Interim Clinical Director at the Ryzio Institute and interventionist on A&E’s Intervention for four seasons.
